The visitor centre is currently closed to general visitors. it will reopen on 5th April 2014.
From 5th April until the end of October, opening times will be 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week. Our cliff railway will be in operation, carrying visitors from the car park up to the main site.
We do have courses and other booked events taking place before 5th April, so the site is accessible if you are attending one of these. Check with the person you've made the booking with for details of arrival times, etc.
Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs are permitted onto our Visitor Centre, but unfortunately we do not allow other dogs, as we have several monitored sites for ground nesting birds, and we have to control the exposure of these sites to other animals such as dogs and sheep. This is particularly the case during the nesting season, but important all year. This also applies to other wildlife that can be disturbed by dogs.
The railway runs until the end of October. In winter, access is via the 'Garden Steps'. This involves a short but steep walk to the Centre from the car park. Parking is provided nearer the visitor circuit at the top of the South Drive for those who are unable use this means of access.
